Spencer; her children, Courtney Spencer (Melanie) and Tiffany Spencer-Price (John); her siblings, Dorothy Ogden (late Nick Sr) of Rincon, GA, Judy Zeigler (late Curtis) of McDonough, GA, Marnette Raymond Reid of Statesboro, GA, Billy James Raymond (Betty) of Jonesboro, GA, Benjamin Raymond of Statesboro, GA, Wynton Raymond (Michelle) of Monroe, NC and Eric Raymond (Cynthia) of Powder Springs, GA; her siblings-in-law, Eloise Ellis (Elmer) of Cartersville, GA, Carolyn Spencer-Holmes of Springfield, MA, Burnise Spencer (Deborah) of Cartersville, GA, Elliott Spencer (Vera) of Suwanee, GA, Jerome Spencer of Cartersville, GA, Arthur Spencer (Angela) of Covington, GA, Rosa Spencer of Austell, GA, Christopher Spencer of Cartersville, GA and Dorothy Spencer-Carson (Aaron) of Cartersville, GA; her godson Kalif; her friend Wynette Williams; and her adoptive daughter Latoya Houston James. She is also survived by grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Janie leveraged her time and talents to make over 300 protective masks for friends and family throughout the country to help ensure their safety.
