He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Smithson and Nellie Mae Stokes Smithson; and his wife Martha Jo Bridges Smithson. He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Adams (Robert) of Cartersville, Jamie Taylor (Donny) of Lyerly and Jerri Smithson of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Lisa Adams Reed (Chuck) and Landon Adams (Lori); his great grandchildren, Jackson of Cartersville, Cooper of Cartersville, Adam of Cartersville, William of Cartersville and Blake of Cartersville; and his friend Bill Gilbert.
