He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clarence Emery Sr. and Sebey Norton Emery; his wife Johnette Cantrell Emery; his daughter Lisa Ann Emery; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Emery, Ila Jo Barnes and Juanita Gartman.
He is survived by: his children, Harlan Emery, Lori Emery and Samuel Emery; and his grandchildren, Jamie Thrasher, Danielle Emery, William Bradley, Wyatt Bradley, Weston Bradley, Peyton Emery and Kayleigh Emery. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
