He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C. Cowart Sr. and Agnes Cowart; and his wife Linda Cowart. He is survived by: his children, Russell Cowart (Tracie Hadsall) and Brian Cowart (Sandy); his siblings, Howard Cowart, Jay Cowart, Diane Puckett, Mary, Payne and Deanna Lyons; and his grandchildren, Tara Carter (Joseph), Kayla Hutchings (Joe), Alycia Johnson (Nick), Michael Cowart (Chelsea) and Adam Cowart (Sarah). He is also survived by his 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
