With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geneva Childers Hyde of Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Lee Childers and Gladys Wilbanks Childers; her husband Jimmy Hyde; her daughter Genise Marie Johnson; her niece Betty Ann Childers Davis; her nephew Ralph Corey Childers; and her close friend Johnny Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Hyde (Kiursy Mejia), Dewayne Hyde and Rachel Hyde; her grandchildren, Lee Young (Sandy), Barry Young, Eric Young, Hayley Hyde, Daniel Hyde (Claudia), Maria Garcia and Diana Fuller (Chris); her great grandchildren, Khloe, Mila, Cooper, Percy, Josh, Thomas, Hunter, Kadence, Fisher and Jackson; and her brother Ralph (Mary Childers).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Barton Funeral Home (131 Summer St, Adairsville, GA 30103). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
