With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Steele of Cartersville, Georgia, born in Cochran, Georgia, who passed away on October 23, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker A. Meadows and Annie Helms Meadows; her husband Charles E. "Ned" Steele; and her daughter Sandra Kay Steele. She is survived by: her daughters, Suzanne Johnson (Dave) of Lawrenceville and Sally Black (David) of Cartersville, Georgia; her grandson Hayes Johnson (Mary Katherine); and her great grandchildren, Liam and Hannah Johnson of Birmingham. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
