It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Carson of Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Pearl and Luther Lee Richards; and her brothers, Luther Richards, Will Richards and Joseph Richards.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Miles, Charles Donell Henderson, Louise Marie Henderson, John Henderson and Cynthia Carson; her grandchildren, Renada Miles, Lee Miles (Sarah) and T. L. Winters; her great grandchildren, Antoine Jefferson and Andrea Jefferson; her great great grandchildren, Nia Lee and Kia Jefferson; her sisters, Ruth Ann Hendricks of Indiana, Nedia Gary (Frank) and Denise McLusky; her nephews, Shawn Gary (Shameka), Quinton Gary (Jada), Marcus "Tank" Gary, Caleb Gary and Elijah Gary (Boss Hog); and her close friend Ervin Perkinson (Tick). She is also survived by her children while raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
