It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Sanford of Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jefferson and Jesse Ovalene Kilgore Sanford; his sister Linda Bray; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Bray and Earl Massey.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ruff Sanford; his daughter Iris; his son-in-law Jerry Davis of Ellijay, GA; his sons, Scott (Lisa Sanford), Stiles (Renee Sanford) and David (Brandi Sanford); his grandchildren, Justin Davis (Tasha Anderson), Dustin (Beth Harper), Saul Landaverde (Hannah Harper), Caroline (Ricardo Lamberti), Jonathan Sanford, Madison Sanford, Samantha Sanford and Dillon Sanford (Sarah Sanford); his great grandchildren, Maddie Harper, Liam, Adi Landaverde, McKenna and McKenzie Lamberti; and his siblings, Lois Massey of Cassville, GA, Norman (Brenda Sanford), Jimmy (Becky Sanford) and Gary (Debra Sanford). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
