With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Chastain (Cartersville, Georgia), born in Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on March 23, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Chastain and Mae Chastain; his siblings, Everett Chastain, Lola Bell Chastain and Evelyn Edmondson; his son-in-law Robert "Bob" Whitfield; and his great grandchild Dasey Maddox.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Chastain; his daughter Linda Whitfield; his grandchildren, Robert Whitfield (Kerri), Jason Whitfield (Christina) and Lindsey Maddox (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Judson, Bobby, Dawson, Dylan, Dakota Whitfield, Molley Maddox and Lillie Chapman. He is also survived by two nephews and four nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Atco Baptist Church, 20 Parmenter Street, Cartersville, GA 30120.
