It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Gentry of Cartersville, Georgia, born in Bartow, Georgia, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Massey and Agnes Massey; her daughter Karen Patterson; and her sister Ruth Hite. She is survived by: her children, Lynne Whitener, Amanda Lavery (Tom), Michael Patterson (Glenda) and Chris Patterson (Christie); her grandchildren, Justin Whitener (Brooke), Jessica Dutto (Chris), Brandon Patterson, Derek Patterson, Caden Patterson, Hunter Whitener, Jesse Patterson, Casey Patterson (Hannah), Carly Patterson, Carson Patterson, Alexus Lindley (Sidney), Wynston Lavery and Spencer Lavery; her great grandchildren, Elijah, Layla, Keeley and Bella; and her siblings, Buddy Massey (Pat), Edith Bailey (James), Joan Fortenberry (Sam) and Tim Massey (Cathy).
