She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmer L. Johnson and Juanita H. Gates Johnson; and her grandson Tyler VanDyke. She is survived by: her husband Larry Horton; her son Kevin VanDyke (Santana); her stepdaughter Natalie Cummingham (Rick); her siblings, Leo Johnson, James Johnson, Julie Jenkins and Ida Mitchell; and her granddaughter Pheonix VanDyke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memory Gardens (790 Indian Mound Rd SE, Cartersville, GA 30120).
