He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Johnson and Sonia E. Johnson (Hunt); his daughters, Lisa Johnson and Lori Johnson; and his siblings, Jimmy Johnson and Jane Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Mae Johnson (Thomason) of Carrollton; his daughter Jessica; his son-in-law Flip Jenkins of Acworth; his sister Marjorie Sue Johnson of Carrollton; and his grandsons, Zachary Coleman and Raymond Russell.
