She was predeceased by: her father Roscoe "Red" Jefferson Ward; her daughter Sharon Thrower; her brother Brian Jefferson "BJ" Ward; and her stepfather Benjamin Hulsey. She is survived by: her husband Robert Mark Whitehead; her sons, Brian Thrower of Carrollton and Deven Blake Whitehead of Carrollton; her stepchildren, Robert Michael Whitehead of Dallas and Lisa Whitehead of Knoxville, TN; her brother Kyle; her sister-in-law Jessica Hulsey of Bremen, GA; her niece Hannah Hulsey; and her nephew Hunter Hulsey. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.
