He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Capps and Mae Buckner Capps. He is survived by: his wife Irene Webb Capps of Carrollton; his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law Chris Matthews of Carrollton; his sons, Mike (Karen Tripp), Jason (Kitty Tripp) and Erik (Kelly Tripp); and his siblings, Gene Capps of Ashville, NC, Roger Capps of Ashville, NC and Jeanette Byrd of Douglasville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
