It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Olen Baker of Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Baker and Lovie Kaylor Baker; and his siblings, Winifred (Dewey Kilgore), Mary (Olin Williams), Billie (Gary Mitchell), Andy Baker and Wayne Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Williams Baker; his daughters, Pam (Tony Haynes) and Jenny (Elliott Pate); his grandchildren, Bo Haynes, Kelli, Jared Johnson, Reed Tanner, Jr., Cole Tanner and Olivia Pate; his great grandchildren, Caroline Johnson, Maggie Johnson, Ava Johnson, Aubrey Haynes and Kimball Haynes; his brother Tony; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Baker and Helen Baker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (2829 Oak Grove Church Rd, Carrollton, GA 30117). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
