He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Watson Tyson and Louella Timmons Tyson; and his siblings, Lewis Tyson, Ralph Tyson, Herman Tyson, Marie Daniell, Katherine Robertson and Marion Norton.
He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth Tyson; and his siblings, Helen Tyson Weems, Kinney Tyson and Hubert Tyson (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
