She was predeceased by: her parents, Major Jackson Cates and Una Louise Lowery Cates; her husband Donald Barry Cochran; and her siblings, Winfred Cates and Jean Cates Morris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shannon Bearden (Craig Shirey) and Lindsey Cosper (Landon); her stepson Bill Cochran (Ronnie); her siblings, Billy Cates (Virginia), Ray Cates (Dean), Joyce Cates Greene and Ralph Cates (Mary); her grandchildren, Emma Payne, Jackson Payne, Paisley Bearden, Hollis Cosper, Drew Marie Cosper, Kaleigh Ramirez (Lucas) and Elyssa Cochran; her great grandchild Noa Ramirez; and her pets, Maggie and Annabelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
