He was predeceased by: his siblings, Julian Shadinger, Grace Shadinger Stallings and Margaret Shadinger Denney. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Lori Shadinger Goode; his wife Sybil Wilson Shadinger; his son-in-law Micheal Goode; and his granddaughter Mary Goode Bryant (Caleb).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post 143, PO Box 647, Carrollton, GA 30112.
