She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hall Scharff and Fannie Higgins Scharff; her grandmother Summer; and her sisters, Edith Scharff Smith and Barbara Scharff Moore.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph A. "Bud" Lucas; her children, Jonathan Austin Lucas (Lisa), Timothy Stewart Lucas (Bianca), Gregory Robert Lucas, Carolyn Lucas Aycock (John) and Katherine Lucas Sansaverino; and her grandchildren, Kristen, Lindsey, Jay, Jeffery, Andrea, Melanie, Samantha, Mackenzie, Miguel, Marbella, Lucas, Lillian and Marshall. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
