He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ruby Walker Pyle and Samuel Burk Pyle Sr.; his grandmothers, E. R. Pyle of East Point and L. L. Walker of Carrollton, Georgia; his half-brother William Wendell Janes; and his siblings-in-law, Douglas Wayne Edwards of Canton and Jackie Green Pyle of Riverside, Alabama..

He is survived by: his siblings, Angelyn Karol Pyle Edwards of Canton, Georgia, Samuel Burk Pyle Jr. (Linda) of Carrollton and Ernie Rex Pyle of Riverside, Alabama.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
