He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezlin Black Richards and Alfred L. Richards, Sr.; his sister Joan Armpriester; his stepsiblings, Marion Dean, Bertha Bergen and Gene Richards; and his sister-in-law Frances Cohen.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Richards (Alan Cohen); and his stepsister Carol Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton Alice's House The SOS Fund at the University of West Georgia Agape Hospice Care A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a future date, likely in September.
