He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph William Cooke and Nellie Huckeba Cooke; his sons, Jeffery Cooke and Joe Cooke; and his siblings, Alan Cooke and Reba Parson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Cooke; his daughter Jenny; his son-in-law Dayrel Strickland; his daughter Kim Minick; his grandchildren, Andrew Strickland (Mary Beth), Allie Tanner, Kate Tanner Eady (Tyler), Tyler Tanner (Hillary), Hannah Cooke Cruz (Gabe), Natalie Cooke (Cody), Tray Strickland (Katie) and Roxy Johnson Robinson (Tanner); his great grandchildren, Brittany Naples-Dutton (Brian), Emma Grace Tanner, Remy Tanner, Jaxson Tanner, Maddie Eady, Paisley Grace Eady, Ansley Strickland, Henry Strickland, Caroline Strickland, Addie Parker Strickland, Gunner Strickland, Willow Strickland, Kaylee Johnson, Karoline Johnson, Karleigh Keith Johnson, Vincent Cole Cooke, Elora Estrella Cruz, Jackson Riley and Luke Naples-Dutton; and his brothers, David Cooke (Janice), Mike Cooke (Janice), Kerry Cooke (Debbie) and Robert Sauls. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Almon Funeral Home (548 Newnan St, Carrollton, GA 30117). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tabernacle Worship Center (150 Tabernacle Dr, Carrollton, GA 30117).
