He was predeceased by: his parents, Alver Lee Lands and Maggie Jane Nixon Lands; and his siblings, Lucille Walker, Gene Lands, Rayford Lands and Wendell Lands.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Foster Lands; his daughters, Beverly (David Adams) and Becky (Alan Cantrell); his grandchildren, Nicole, Randall Mitchell, Anna Cantrell and Nathan Cantrell; his great grandchildren, Emma, Tucker and Mary Katherine Mitchell; and his sister Lorene McKenzie.
