He was predeceased by: his parents, George Phillips of Washington and Effie Mae Bishop Phillips; his wife Rebecca Jean Bone Phillips; and his siblings, George Howard Phillips, Margaret Fountain, Ruth Spruiell, Remona Strickland, Dura Ann Thornton and Carlyn Pope.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Lane Phillips of Winston, Georgia and Anna Phillips Morgan (Auston) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Evan Morgan, Dexter Morgan and Jensen Morgan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
