Smith of Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Junior Gittens and Edna Clyde Daniel; her husband Ernest Frederick Smith, Sr.; her daughter Jeanie "Bitsy" Ramsey; and her siblings, Frances Raines, Lois Ayers, Buddy Gittens, Jr., Freddie Gittens, Jean Johnson and David Gittens.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Smith, Jr., Janie Pilcher and Mickie Meyers (Margaret); and her brother Lamar Gittens. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whitley Garner At Rosehaven Funeral Home & Rose Haven Cemetery (8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, GA 30134). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Whitley-Garner (8640 Rose Ave, Douglasville, GA 30134).
