He was predeceased by: his parents, David Columbus Fortson and Lottie Denny Fortson; and his wife Linda Ann Burroughs Fortson. He is survived by: his children, Angela, Jason Eichman of Lauren, SC, Diane, Jeremy Long of Carrollton and Alice Fortson of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
