He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Yates Morgan; his daughter Tammy Morgan Phillips; his son-in-law James Michael Phillips II; his stepchildren, Chad Barker, Amanda and Wesley Mulkey; his grandchildren, Lachelle Phillips, Shawn, Denise Robinson, Tyler Phillips, Jessica, Jacob Hansford, Bella Phillips, Aspen Phares, Clay Barker and Keenan Mulkey; his great grandchildren, Corey Smith, Karleigh Smith, Marlow Robinson, Hunter Phillips, Wrenlee Phillips and Paisleigh Hansford; and his pets, Lola, Bella and Ginger.
His career was marked by a commitment to innovation and safety in the chemical industry, and he retired from Gold Kist after 28 years, where he made significant contributions to various projects.
