It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Preston Lynch of Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John P. Preston and Bessie Pitts Preston; her husband Jesse Lynch; and her siblings, Margaret Brannon, Carol Argo and J. P. Preston.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Meeks Johnson of Carrollton, Brad Meeks of Carrollton, Barry Meeks (Terri) of Milton, Georgia, Marcia Meeks Lanier (Jimmy) and Mandy Lynch Hines (Wally); and her grandchildren, Clint Johnson (Christi), Chad Johnson, Bradford Williamson (Laura), John Paul Meeks, Sylvia Meeks Wright (Kevin), Zach Meeks (Melissa), Ty Meeks (Meghan), Jami Lanier Justus (Blake), Kati Lanier Kent (Will), Derek Brown, Jessi Brown and Maggi Hines. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens Flowers are accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 6458 Spring St #100, Douglasville, GA 30134.
