He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Swindell and Eleanor Little Swindell; and his brother Bobby Swindell. He is survived by: his sibling Jerry Swindell; his wife Patricia Elrod "Pat" Swindell; his daughters, Renee (Dwayne Ansley) and Keely (Jeff Grizzle); his grandchildren, Emily, Javier, Amy and Madeline; and his siblings, Eleanor Tarr, Charles Swindell, David Swindell and Richard Swindell.
