He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Andrew and Jewell Herndon Adams; and his close friend Don Caudell. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stowe Adams; his children, Mark Adams and Andrea Adams; his son-in-law Michael LaCount; and his grandchildren, Michaela Elaine LaCount and McKenzie LaCount of Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Allens United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to Compassion Baptist Church.

“Mr. Adams was my teacher at Midway School. He taught me Georgia History and did a wonderful job. I am 68 years old now. And remember it all. I know all the county’s and rivers in Georgia,, I have always thought of Mr Adams as I traveled across rivers in Georgia and crossed over county lines. . He was a special man that I have never forgot, Judy Locke Haskins”
