With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Akin (Carnesville, Georgia), who passed away on July 3, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Andrew and Icie Buford Chatham Wood; her husband James Pruitt Akin; and her sister Mary Pruitt. She is survived by: her children, James (Kelly Akin), Martin and Stephanie; her son-in-law Keith Hall; her grandchildren, Justin (Kelli), Ansley (Bobby), Alyssa and Drew; her great grandchild Sydney; and her siblings, Kenneth Wood, Milton Wood of Mauldin, SC, Dan Wood, Martin, Barbara Taylor of Mauldin, SC and Rhonda Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Allens United Methodist Church, or the St Marys Hospice in Watkinsville, GA.
