It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John M. Moon (Carlton, Georgia), who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Moon and Rachel McCannon Moon; and his sister Patricia Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Evelyene Moon; his daughters, Sheila Hill, Debra Armour (Lyn) and Brenda Mattox (Vance); his sisters, Viola Allgood and Sara Moss; his grandchildren, John Armour (Katie), Paige Murphy (Andy), Mitchell Davis (Cynthia Greer), Casey Fleming (Jarrett), Jessie Rice (Alex), Jeremy Hill (Sydney Young) and Peyton Mattox (Eliana Burkhalter); his great grandchildren, Mason Armour, Maddie Armour, JD Armour, Maddox Bradberry, Hudson Bradberry, Tripp Fleming and Olivia Greer; and his pet Lady. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to either the Burts United Methodist Church or to the church's cemetery fund, P.O Box 494 Lexington, GA 30648.
