She was predeceased by: her parents, Mell A. Scoggins and Loretta Robey Scoggins; and her siblings, Janice Benton, Bob Scoggins and John D. Scoggins.
She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Jacob Amason; her children, Lori Brazell (Jack), Melanie Amason of Carlton, Mark Amason (Tammi) of Elberton and Greg Amason (Denise) of Carnesville; her sister Shelba Scoggins Harvey Seymour (Morris) of Alabama; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Frances Fleeman of Winterville, Gwendolyn Amason of Decatur, Kitty Scoggins of Hartwell and Douglas Sorrow of Carlton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.
