He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Magness and Emma Magness; his brother Charles Magness; and his sisters-in-law, Audrey McMinn Magness, Arlene Cantrell and Vicky Grizzle.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Grizzle Magness; his stepchildren, Matthew Magness (Pham Xam Mui) and Katie Dobson (Josh); and his grandchildren, Lilia and Paul Dobson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the South Canton Funeral Home (3147 Marietta Hwy, Canton, GA 30114). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home (3147 Marietta Hwy, Canton, GA 30114). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to Samaritan's Purse- U.S. Disaster Relief- Hurricane Helene.
