With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Franklin Tillery of Canton, Georgia, who passed away on December 22, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Hester Tillery, Sr. and Ruby Jewel Sartin Tillery; his wife Rachel Ford Tillery; his granddaughter Layla Marie Tillery; his daughter-in-law Robin Tillery; and his siblings, Helen VanHorn, Susan Ann Allen, Shirley Louise Tillery, Hamilton Hester Tillery, Jr. and Cecil Lamar Tillery.
He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Randall "Randy" Tillery and Barry Scott Tillery (Aaron Simmons); his grandchildren, Jordan Tillery Morris (Chris), Michael Puckett (Erin), Charlotte Bryan Nick and Jennifer Morris Manis (Verne); and his close friend Tommie McAteer. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the South Chapel (3002 Maple Rd SE, Rome, GA 30161). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
