He is survived by: his children, John Philip Murray (Melinda) of Germantown, TN and Diane Murray Sweat (Charles); his siblings, Billie Rose Murray Ainsworth and Dewey Gerald Murray; and his grandchildren, Grayson Elizabeth Murray Schmid (Josh), Sanders Harrison Murray, Daniel Raymond Sweat (Elizabeth), John Sandlin Sweat, David Edward Sweat, Michael David Gerald Sarzen, Christopher Philip Emanuel Sarzen and Natalie Diane Kathryn Sarzen.
A burial will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114). The military honors will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain (206 McDougald Ave, Pine Mountain, GA 31822).
