He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Atwood and Alvina Bruns Atwood; and his wife Bess Bruns. He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Lanier (Rick), Tammy Preston (Franklin) and Jami Thomassen; and his grandchildren, Rene Beach, Natalie Baker and Chase Gilreath. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
The military honors was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Pinecrest Cemetery.
