She was predeceased by: her parents, Cliff Harvey and Frankie Bell Bulloch Harvey; her husband Luther Henry "L. H." Hays, Jr.; her children, Henrilu Hays, Luther Harvey Hays and James Alton Hays; and her siblings, Hubert Daniel Harvey, Milwood Clifford Harvey, Evelyn Harvey (Davis) and Henry Alton "Bud" Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, Willa Hays Alexander (Tom), Frances Hays Hand (Fred III) and Peter A. Hays; her grandchildren, Katherine Hays Miller (Aaron), Ramsey Alexander Martin (Scott), Thomas Alexander, Jr. (Kelsey), Frederick B. Hand IV (Kelly) and Eleanor Hand Mitchell (Tony); and her great grandchildren, George, Grace, Annie Miller, Alex, Henry Martin, James, Brooks, Hartley Alexander, Sutton, Jackson, Ford Hand, Charlotte, Alice and Thomas Mitchell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
