He is survived by: his wife Janice Hatcher Smith; his children, Karen Smith Lovett (Doug), Craig Smith (Kelley), Jason Smith and Brent Smith (Meagan); his caregiver Desiree Jackson; and his close friends, Henry "Frog" Johnson and Alton Butler. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
