He is survived by: his children, Rene Elkins of Milford, Julie Ann Thompson (Steve) of Tifton, Michael Eugene James (Sandy) of Leesburg, David Geise Spurlin (Diana) of Lester and James Richard Spurlin (Kathy) of Mustang, OK; his brother Critt Spurlin of Montecello, FL; and his grandchildren, Jacqueline Jennings, Jenna Spurlin, Rob Elkins, Jesica Helms, Michael Dowdy, Allan Dowdy, Lacy Eichberger, Shanell Weissinger, Melody Sauls and Ricky Thompson. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
