She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick William Nevels and Frances Nevels (Eli Lavell Godwin) of Virginia. She is survived by: her children, William Eli Godwin and Amy Godwin Dies; her grandchildren, Wyatt Godwin, Angel Godwin Fultz, Meredith Godwin and Garrett Godwin; her great grandchild Nolan Fultz; and her sister Susan Nevels Palmer.
