He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy J. Harter and Elizabeth Mills Harter; and his sisters, Virginia and Eleanor. He is survived by: his wife Frances C. Harter of Camilla; his children, Pat Harter Singleton (Phillip) of Camilla and Tom Harter (LeeAnn) of Dawsonville; his grandchildren, Michael McCaskill of Albany, Mandy Beaton (Lance) of Johns Creek, Rhys Harter (Mary Helen) of Dawsonville and Thomas Harter of Dawsonville; and his great grandchildren, Isla Beaton, Riley Beaton, Gatlin Harter and Jake Harter.
