James Lamar Edwards Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lamar Edwards of Camilla, Georgia, born in Mitchell, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rufus Edwards and Willene Palmer Edwards; his former wife Betty Sue Beall Edwards; his daughter Susie Edwards Sinclair; his grandsons, Michael Keith "Coot" Godwin, Jr. and James Caton Boatwright; and his brothers, John Edwards, Jr., Charles L. Edwards, Gene Edwards, Bobby Edwards and J. W. Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Edwards of Camilla; his children, Sandy Boatwright (Dennis) of Elkton, VA, Julie Raley (Parker) of Camilla and Jimmy Edwards (Angie) of Moultrie; his stepchildren, Ladon Gilbert, Doug Gilbert, Teresa Humphries (Lance) and Audrey Gilbert; and his siblings, Cecil Edwards (Christine) of Camilla, Mervin Edwards (Sue) of Cairo, Janice Bishop of Cairo and Frances Hooks (Martie) of Baconton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 9 step grandchildren.
