He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lauradine Baker Vereen and Eugene Michael Vereen, Jr.; his wife Azalee Wight Vereen; his children, John (Rebekah), Virginia and Patrick; his granddaughter Sarah Anne; his siblings, Joan Vereen Wilson (Rich), Ellen Vereen Rumble (Theo) and Michael Vereen (Jenni); and his pets, Sally, Charlotte, Roscoe, Daisy, Russ, Curtis, Smokey, Maisy, Scat and Tabithaand Lotto. He was also cherished by numerous nephews, nieces… and cousins.
