He was predeceased by: his parents, Rinaldo Freda and Iole Freda; his wife Marie Freda; and his brother Antonio Freda (Tony). He is survived by: his pet Toby; his daughter Amundsen (Dave) of Alpharetta, GA; his grandsons, Nicholas and Andrew Amundsen; and his siblings, Carmela Caserta (Vincenzo) of Erie, PA, Maria Zidow of Parker, Colorado and Giulio Freda (Janis) of Parker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
