He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyley Patterson and Nellie Estelle Patterson; his wife Frances Christine; and his siblings, Walter Lee, James and Nancy Womack.
He is survived by: his children, James Lamar (Joann), David (Davina), Duane (Lynne Marie), Shirley and Linda (Michael Ellis); his grandchildren, Jeff, Mandi, Andy, Aubrey, Max, Amy and Christine; and his great grandchildren, Kailynn, Ella, Penelope and Isabel.
