He was predeceased by: his parents, Clearance Otis "Ode" and Wyolene Holder Townsend; his daughter Sheryl Annette Townsend; and his sister Lavern Townsend. He is survived by: his daughter Tracey Edwards of Lafayette, GA; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Mike Jones, Danielle Hardy, Brittany, Karter McHan and Scott Burdette; his great grandchildren, Lucas Bonds, Claire Bonds, Alyssa England and Kash McHan; his siblings, Randall Townsend of Fairmount, GA, Elaine, Burney Ivey of Bethlehem, GA, Arlene Kittle of Ranger, GA, Patsy and Eddie Bryant of Fairmount, GA; and his nephew Jonathan Woodward of Calhoun, GA. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
