He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Childers and Pauline Duggan Childers; and his siblings, Willie Paul Childers, Johnny Childers, Lebron Childers and Christine Childers.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Richard Childers and Kendra Childers; his brothers, Trace Vaughn and Craig Vaughn; and his grandchildren, Connor Waddle and June Childers.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly ask that donation be made to Sonoraville Baptist Church.
