He was predeceased by: his parents, C. W. Herndon and Betty Craig Herndon; and his nephew Alex Putnam. He is survived by: his significant other Dena Ford; his stepson Brandon Hicks; his siblings, Joyce Stennett (Tim), Mark Herndon (Angie) and Rex Herndon; and his nieces and nephews, Alex Haynes (Katelyn), Kinsley Lovins, Indy Haynes, Adam Putnam, Damien Putnam, Zeinith Putnam, Gareth Putnam, Brenya Putnam, Chris Putnam and Zander Putnam.
