Sidney Stokes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sidney Stokes of Calhoun, Georgia, born in Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on March 9, 2021 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Stokes, Sr. and Mattie Jean Campbell Stokes; and his siblings, Linda Jean Lathem and Tommy Eugene Stokes. He is survived by: his daughters, Sabrina Gail Hester (Travis) and Amber Nicole Hale (Pattrick); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Stokes, Trinton Stokes, Camden Hale and Cheston Hale; his siblings, Marlene Plancon (Bill), Charlotte Phipps (Eddie), Rev. Larry Wells (Carolyn), Gary Wells (Sandra), James Jr. Stokes (Pam) and David Stokes (Jan); and his aunt Margaret Cline (Earnest). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The Stokes family along with the staff of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the CDC as it pertains to social gatherings, including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
